Why would Ottawa trade Pageau for an older C? Seems like a backwards move for them. I like what I see stat wise from Brodin.

You have Siegs benched though, which is a massive mistake. He's been superb on the PK and looks like a top 4 D. His underlying stats are very good. He should be playing every night, and arguably on top pair with Carlson.

I can't see Minny doing that, would love it though.
As for the Ottawa deal, I like Pageau but the Caps love Eller. Something about him goes beyond trading him for a guy with more points, in my opinion. He's a glue kinda guy and he plays very well as a 2nd line center in a pinch. I had made some trades weeks back trying to pull Namestnikov from you guys, but no one wants to trade him or think he's worth more than what I had been offering. Panik is back now so I am thinking no need (namestnikov) now.
