Should the Sens re-sign Duclair? Or should they sell (like real high) on him at the TDL? Ill be honest, I havent watched a lot of Sens games, but there is a history of guys lighting it up on bad teams in contract years. Someone would pay top dollar for him at the TDL.

I would like the sens to resign duclair. I do agree it is a tough situation to assess because of his struggles in the past, and sudden breakout season. Duclair is fairly young, and I do not see immediate prospects who could become the immediate replacement for Duclair (just waiting for the 2020 draft) and put up 25-35 goals a year. If he's moved, I would want a similar aged player who can produce in the top 6 so moving him doesn't seem realistic unless it's a blockbuster.

Watching him play, I do see a top 6 forward who has the skill and hockey sense to put play in a top 6 role and produce. I do want to believe he's figured it out his work ethic concerns, but would still be weary to offer a deal over 6 years. To avoid another Bobby Ryan situation and have a burden contract if Duclair goes back to his inconsistent past, I would love to get him around $4-5M for 4 years.
