Cap will be much higher than 83.5. Some of these are also useless and unrealistic signings

Don’t see timashov resigning without a spot in the opening day lineup which he will not be given. Also the Crawford signing

No way that gets you fabbro.

Also why are you spending 2 million on a 4th line center? Tavares and Matthews should be playing 40+ minutes a game

Hey nowwww! 83.5 is a safe number I've been using it too. So much more flexibility to come! Looks good my man.

Soderberg can play on PK as well and move up to 3rd line center if Kerfoot goes to wing. I think you could get a lot of value out of him at $2mil.

Why is everyone so ready to get rid of Kapanen? His cap hit is below average, he's 23, he's predictably gonna get 20 goals 45 pts for the forseeable futur and has ridiculous speed which he utilises on BOTH special teams. In my eyes, just him for Fabbro is a downgrade....the rest is complete waste. He's a good value player and the key to winning team is to sign "difference makers" when you can and fill the rest with GOOD VALUE.
If you want to get rid of a middling caphit to find space, get rid of Johnsson. He's obviously replacable, doesn't play the PK, puts up similar numbers to Kappy but does it while playing with Matthews while Kapanen does it from the third line (whoever that is on that night) Basically, the numbers are similar but Kappy is better in EVERY way, he is younger and makes less money.

It's a no brainer.

Nashville isn't going to give up their young RHD unless the return is overwhelmingly in their favor or another RHD like Liljegren is coming back as well. Ellis would be the only NHL capable RHD on the team and they don't really have enough capspace to go UFA shopping for one.

I too would say Johnsson is the piece to move if the right player becomes available. Kappy brings a roster unique skill to the table with his game breaking speed. Wonder how different their value is to opposing GMs?

I think Bracco gets offer-sheeted and he signs, if we haven't traded him yet

Since he has already been efficiently replaced, I feel as though the right player doesn't have to become available. If you plan on resigning Muzzin (which is a good idea), trading him to western contender (St-Louis?) for a pick would be best in order to clear net cap space with no money coming back. Muzzin is well worth it in my books.

timo is an RFA so he basically signs with the leafs or he disappears for the rest of his career to play overseas.

Crawford is a bit of an underpay but realistically he probably ends up with what Ryan Miller got at age 35. (2 x 2)

I'v actually liked Gauthier this year. Seems to have found some more tools to put in his box. I think he'd be cheaper than 2 mil and an effective 4th line center.

Changed a bunch of things, included a trading Johnson instead of Kapanen, Hamonic signed instead of DeMelo, and Gauthier at 4C.
