Engvall will never play an AHL game again... they'll most likely trade Johnsson for a D-man around the TDL

He will not return for the regular season. If he does return it will be for the playoffs and the cap hit won’t matter.

And then the next regular season? Mikheyev, Dermott, Engvall, Timashov (Clarkson, Horton ok jk lol) need to be renewed and there's not much space. Someone will have to be moved.

Plenty of cap space next season. Maybe a bit short on roster space. If the right deal comes along and there is nothing in ufa I’m sure dubas will make a move on a Dman.

????? Yep someone will have to moved, There are probably 15 teams in the league that will have to move someone just to sign their the RFAs and fill roster spots. Gotta think the Leafs "trade bait" have good value with their contracts, so it won't be difficult to make a trade or two. Some good teams have very restrictive NTCs, and have cap issues. It's going to be interesting how those teams juggle their roster.

Lmao... the best thing art is that it makes not one dollar difference. I think on this site it is always doom and gloom for the leafs. Every year it’s the same thing. “Leafs will never win the cup with this roster” pretty safe bet since every year 30 of 31 teams don’t win the cup...

Yea but it doesn't affect the ability for teams to spend for "active" players. Gee, the Leafs traded for Clarkson pre season, you really think they would have acquired 5.25m of dead money if affected the cap?
Somehow the misinformed think players on LTIR affect only the Leafs negatively or positively shakes head

But Muzzin and Barrie aren't Leafs next June. They are UFAs. No team should expect to sign their UFAs. Gee if I'm the Leafs, I certainly don't want to sign Barrie, someone will overpay and probably the same for Muzzin.
