Top pairing or top-4 two-way defenseman in similar age with long contract. Options are very thin. Otherwise I dont see Leafs moving him. They dont need to.

Yeah it would start with Boqvist and a 1st as a starting point.

Saad ain't that special, he's 45 point guy at 6m and just 1.5 year left till UFA compared to Nylander 4.5 years . 24 year old Sikura, iffy at best if he an NHLer.
Right now, Nylander is playing above his 7m contract. Top 4 Dman with term might get him, but maybe it's a summer deal.

It would probably be Saad, Boqvist, and a 3rd or 4th rounder for William Nylander. That's a pretty decent trade for both sides IMO. Although as a Hawks fan, I wouldn't do it as we need Boqvist as much as the Leafs do more so then we need Nylander. Maybe Saad, Mitchell and a 2nd rounder, but that does nothing to help the Leafs this year so no from the Leafs.

As much as Nylander would be nice I don't think we would pursue this sort of trade particularly if it meant giving up Boqvist in a trade package. We can only hope our Nylander gets better
