He is under contract for 3 more years and is young. I would love this... and its a lot to give up... but I just think ANA says no because they don't want to part with the player

He's 28 so old young, he's peaked it's all down hill for him now, Duck fans will absolutely disagree but Manson is a second pairing D man, he's worth Bracco and a 1st at the high end

Bracco has 0 value to ANA (or any other team with average wing depth) and for a team likely looking to take strides towards improvement, trading their ONE good RHD pigeonholes them into using their first rounders year after year on RHD while waiting for them to develop on hopes of getting over close to ready, even if it isn't BPA
Even if they (likely reach) and hey Drysdale this draft, and he is ready next year, assuming this scenario happens, they still only have one RHD... And the next year, say they have to reach again for an RHD, that's two (or more depending on how long the cycle continues) first rounders wasted bc they didn't get an NHL RHD back from a Manson trade, that's why Lilja has to be a piece in the return, probably+ bc his ceiling is probably about where Manson is rn (and will still be for the remainder of this contract plus another two or so years) and Manson is a known/proven (but still quite underrated by some... He'S nOt BeTtEr ThAn CeCi an argument I've seen way too much on here) commodity while I've seen better specs than Lilja bust before...

Just don't believe the current edition of Manson is going be make that much difference to the Leafs this year, to give up all of that. Leafs aren't trading the multi years of of cheap control of Liljegren for those two additional years of Manson.

Cool................or they sign Pietrangelo, has to be appealing to him to sign a nice big money long-term contract and chill out in California playing golf with all the Kings and Sharks just cruise into retirement, he's already won everything he wants.
Bracco and a 1st is all I'd pay, I'm fine not having Manson
