Where is the value that Montreal gets?. Montreal would reject if it was 1 of them for that package.

Don't see Stanley as anything more than a 3rd pairing defensemen. Only reason he was drafted so high was because of his height, but other than that, I don't see any qualities about him that would make him an NHL defensemen. Definitely not someone who Montreal needs.

What would you value both of them individually

Suzuki or Petry?

Petry - Definitely starts with a 1st round pick. I know he's 32, but he's still a capable #3 defensemen and he can log big minutes. Great offensive guy who can give your team offense from the backend. Currently quarterbacks the 2nd line PP. In the recent past, there's been worse UFA defensemen that have been traded for 1st round picks, so he can definitely get more than that IMO

Suzuki - Don't really see a price for Suzuki, unless you are seriously going to overpay, he's not available. I'd compare to a guy like Connor, maybe a little less offensively, but his defense and IQ is top notch.

Petry is probably equal to Stanley and a 2nd. I’d say the rest for suzuki more than fair. Cmon man

Nawh. Petry starts with a 1st, not questions asked. He's still signed for 2 more years and at a great contract.

Suzuki for 2 2nds and scrub prospects? GTFO lmao
