Just in general? Or is there a new story? Thought he was doing well in London under the Hunter regime.

I know someone who knows hunter, apparently the night before team Canadas camp they caught him blowing way past his curfew. He's literally costing himself millions possibly.

I heard from a guy who coached him a few years ago that he once walked by a homeless guy, then spat and cursed at him.
This is not someone I would want on my team.

You may be able to tempt NYR with Merkley and your 2nd.

Yeah no. This is a dumb narrative that I wish people would stop spreading. Can you imagine dedicating your time to hating on a 19 year old kid? Go outside

Something that is reality since pre-draft is not a dumb narrative smile

Who cares? Leave it alone. Can you imagine if it was you that everywhere you turn online and people are saying your a terrible person and should be traded when they have never met you and really know nothing about you?

Well.. teams do care whether or not you are carrying yourself like a player on certain level or like a complete dickhead.. and those things come from people who know him and who played/coached/dealt with him before. It was a main reason why he was on do-not-draft-list of couple of teams, Montreal included that I know of. This is not some harrassment for Ryan, its how he carries himself off the ice and on the ice too. Thats why he would likely not be a longterm NHLer if he does not change his behaviour (and yes, he has some serious issues).

You dont know that and you never will? Dont pretend your some expert on him. Many players have been regarded like this in the past and turned out fine

"You dont know that and you never will?" Not like Im working within scouting community and know people that work with and in OHL teams. I thought the Merkley stuff was pretty common knowledge. I was wrong surprisingly. And yes he might turn out fine if he changes his behaviour.
