If Suzuki is Out

Created by: Kotkaniemi15
Team: 2019-20 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 6, 2020
Published: Jan. 6, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This is not looking good. Options for call up:

Jake Evans - Ok call up, but they don’t really need or have a place for a center.
Riley Barber - I guess he could be a placeholder, but he was pretty useless when he played with the habs.
Charles Hudon - Maybe the best call-up option, but only if he plays. Also named to the AHL All-Star Game, and Laval really needs him with their depleted roster.
Michael McCarron - Does not have much upside, provides physicality, but not much else. Could be called up as a worst case scenario 13th forward.

Don't see Hudon or Barber coming back up, both have played 9 games and one more means they have to clear waivers to go back down to Laval (which they won't clear).

I'd say Evans or McCarron, but I think Montreal would just have 12 forwards on the roster.

IMO they might just call up McCarron, just in case they’re on the road and someone gets sick or injured.

And from just an NHL perspective, I’d say the habs wouldn’t mind losing Barber on waivers, but especially now, he and Hudon are immensely important to the Rocket.

Can't lose Barber in Laval. Gotta try and create a winning environment down there and get the morale high, but yeah, McCarron is likely the next call-up.

BTW, Suzuki back for the 2nd.

Y’all Habs fans need to take something for your anxiety- he’s already back in the game.

It's funny because Im a Habs fan and I guess @Kotkaniemi15 stopped watching after Suzuki went down. He got right back up, laughing or smiling. He's fine

I was watching, I just didn’t see when he got hit, and found out later that he left the game.

Yes. He missed about 2 shifts I think. But just concussion protocol.
