Kovalchuk another year older and with a healthy roster, we don't need him.

Could stay if Ylonen's not ready...

I also dont see KK as a 1st line centre next year based on how many points he has (7 pts in 27 GP, that's 0.25 pts/gp or on pace for 28 pts)
Danault is the 1C and will remain until KK can put up 60 pts

Yeah, Danault definitely stays as the 1C. Groom Kotkaniemi until he is past ready. These lines are all fkd so I'm not going to comment on them, but with Caufield and Poehling most likely in the top 9 next year, there simply isn't a spot for Kovalchuk on the team. He's not built to be a 4th liner.
