Here's my thoughts on the trade

McAvoy is Boston's future elite D-man, and will take on a bigger role if Krug doesn't resign. You would have to add to get McAvoy. and adding would be costly.
Pesce alone is probably worth Rakell, maybe even more. So Martinook should not be added.
Buffalo was looking to move Risto, and Rodrigues wants out, so I think you're good with that.
I don't know why you would want to take on Saad's contract, but adding the second is too much. Switch the pick with a 5th and retain a million and you have fair value.

Of course, I'm not the brainiest when it comes to hockey, but I know a fair bit. These are my assumptions as I know the Habs, no other team really

I want to say the Canes decline...but I’m more just interested to know why you think it would be good for either team. Martinook involves is kind of pointless.

I see Canes trade as not being that great for either side.

Chicago's is definitely the closest, I'd like to get a bit more, but I'd probably do that, CAR easily rejects, Pesce is really really good, one of the better DFD's in the league, defiantly worth more than Rakell, though I would LOVE to get him, McAvoy is basically untradeable from Boss's perspective, and the BUF one is really bad for ANA, Rico for that package would probably be a better fit

I'd do that in a heartbeat as ANA, Pesce would fit this team PERFECTLY, and he plays RD

went into this thinking that your trades were going to be crazy but the only one I don't like is the McAvoy one.

Saad and a 2nd too much. But you would have traded him to BUF by now anyway

I think you should ask more from buffalo and chicago. Rakell doesn’t get you 10% of the way to McAvoy. He was their best player in the playoffs last year. There’s probably about 5 guys in the league that the bruins would trade him for and Rakell ain’t one of them.

These are all terrible deals. Either they are unrealistic or make basically no sense for ANA. If we move Rakell, its to get a young asset that's literally just about to breakout + something else (to counter risk of taking on an unproven prospect) so that said talent will be ready to help us once we finish our retool. Literally none of the deals presented do this. McAvoy is very much a proven asset and worth more than Rakell simply because of his position and age. The Pesce deal is nice, but don't see CAR pulling the trigger on that one. The rest are just bad for us.

Really? Why? The logic for moving Rakell is that he wouldn't be in a position to help us when we're done with our retool. Why then would we take on a player that is older? Makes literally zero sense.

No to Chucky. I don't know whether PIT has the assets to acquire Rakell. Addison would be a nice add, but we need more top-end talent and you don't have any prospects that project that high.

Saad has been really really good this year, i was speaking mostly from a value perspective, not a team needs perspective on that one at least
