I think Hank would rather retire with the rebuild team that drafted him instead of going to another team that will probably need to rebuild. (Yeah their top players can still perform but it'll be harder to move them 2-3 years later due to their contract) Apparently Hank didn't want to waive his NMC when the Rangers publicly announced the rebuild.

Hank is still good. He's worth a 2nd+mid pick, especially at 2x4.25m, although maybe not to a capped out tire fire.
