Interesting idea, but too much. Cholowksi has a good ceiling. I’d rather give up svechnikov.

Cholowski does have a good ceiling, but I'm not sure he's ever going to hit it in Detroit. He has little support in Detroit and gets exposed A LOT. He looks like a 21 year old unsure of himself too often. He'd benefit from playing with guys like Trouba, Skjei, Fox, DeAngelo.

Then it'd be a 1 for 1 Cholowski for Georgiev trade. Howard and Beleskey can stay.

You just admitted to him playing in the bottom 2. His max potential is a solid top 4 defenseman or basically another trouba. He’d get more minutes playing with a team with weaker defense

Not necessarily. He could eventually be paired with one or more those guys and learn from them...He is often paired with guys like Jonathon Ericsson or an over the hill Mike Green in Detroit.
Dach liked this.

Plus he's having a hard time right now handling the big minutes. Obviously because he got sent down to Grand Rapids. He needs somewhere where he can play sheltered minutes, and he doesn't have to be relied on and his mistakes don't shine as bright. I know it seems counter intuitive to think about, being that in Detroit it doesn't matter if you make mistakes because we will lose anyway, but because we are so bad, he gets exposed quite often, and most of the time the mistakes are costly. He also needs a good partner to help him out. We don't really have that for him. I like Cholowski though, and not really to eager to move him just yet. For the right offer I would, but I think he'll figure it out and be a solid 2nd pairing dman for us in the future.
