I don't know if thats possible but the max is 50%. I don't know if the fact that VEG retain some of his salary have an impact on this though...

Only 2 teams can retain, so as far as I'm aware a 10 million dollar contract could go down to 2.5 mil if both teams retain 50%, tho I'm not 100% sure on that

That's why we're taking Talbot (cap dump) and getting only a late first for Tatar. It compensate.

Talbot is only signed for the remainder of this year - hardly a cap dump.

Calgary keeps their 1st, avoids the overpriced declining goalie and calls Lou Lamarillo directly for that package thanks.

That was pure sarcasm, I thought we could only retained 50% of is contract. So if Vegas retained 500K, MTL can only retained 2.150M @Billy739 @SevenLeg @Gofnut999 @arafay @ExpiredmilkYT some help guys for salary retained

Tatar contract is 5.3M so @math731 you can’t retained 2.4M but 2.150M
