No way we take on that Burns contract. Now that we have debrincat on a bridge deal that carries him until when Kane and Toews come off their 10 year deals, we are pretty much set as far as our main pieces go, and Maatta can be bought out for cheap, Smith only has another year after this one, etc. No chance we take that on

You dump Seabrook though. I’m not sure that teams will be able to keep him on LTIR permanently. He wants to play and will fight them every inch of the way

Id rather have seabrook for one less year with what he brings to the locker room. He's been a leader, he's come up clutch in the playoffs, he's a voice these guys look to. Idk what burns has done, won the hardest shot contest once maybe? Also giving up Nylander, Lankinen, a second and a 3rd does not make it worth it and only taking Sorenson back

I like the deal (if Seabs retires) but CHicago doesn't do that... ever.

Fact is they can't (move NMC Burns). And even if they could about the same amount of cap has to go back to the Sharks, and not LTIR cap.

Too much for an aging player, not worth it imo
