Oilers are not going to give you a 2nd and Benning, pick one or the other.

Bad for Leafs trading for a 6/7 Dman in Benning, for the good Kapanen. Rangers likely get more for Georgiev, if they decide to trade him.

That Ranger proposal is iffy; I believe San Jose would offer a first for the pair. If you believe some in the know, Howden might get thrown in somehow. Honestly, their level of urgency in a trade might change with this Couture injury. The Rangers might be best served to make a deal with the Sharks, while they can.

This Ranger fan says yes. I like Georgiev and I think he could be a solid starter but he's also been shaky at times (Ranger defense doesn't help) and I cant see him being more consistent now that Shesterkin is going to be added to the goalie rotation. I worry a little that Bracco was never given a chance even after his minor league coach became the Leafs coach. Still it would add two wingers to a forward group that has very little depth and a second round pick, which they currently lack. And I feel like Andersson is a lost cause in New York whose value will just diminish the longer he is away.

You need to do some research pal, he isn't a 6/7 defenseman. More like a 4/5.

I don't see Edmonton pulling the trigger on something like this right now, maybe at the deadline if they can't get Kassian signed to a reasonable extension. Also I'm pretty sure Holland would rather frame a deal around Puljujarvi than a 2nd round pick, not sure if Toronto would be interested or not.

Also: due to chemistry, I think Kapanen would play on the 3rd line in Edmonton. Not that that's a bad thing as Edmonton needs greater depth, just pointing out that they aren't desperate for a top-6 RW and thus won't overpay.

so what you are saying is kappy isnt as good as kassian or yamamoto, kappy is probably one of the few guys who could actually keep up with mcdavid and he is more skilled the the top 2 rw you already have.

No, I said "due to chemistry", not due to skill. McDavid and Kassian have been very good together and Draisaitl / Yamamoto had instant chemistry.

And being a fast skater isn't a prerequisite to having success with McDavid, the wingers that have had the most success with him are ones who can create space for him with size, physicality and puck protection skills. Puljujarvi, Maroon, Draisaitl, Neal, Kassian and even Lucic have been successful with McDavid. Some of those guys are slower than average.

Benning is trash eh. Do some research before you make such a stupid statement!
During the last three seasons at 5v5, Benning has ranked 18th among NHL defense-man with over 2300 minutes played in goals for percentage with a 54.87
