Good. Time to trade away the old veteran guys and draft some good young players.

I'm all for drafting and developing. But with Kotkaniemi, Poehling, Suzuki, Caufield, Ylonen, Olofsson, Romanov, Struble, Norlinder, Harris, Primeau... At some point we will need to stop repeat this and start playing those kid and let them develop.

How? You enjoy being Mediocre, either just missing or getting booted in the 1st round? I don't.

5 of those guys might pan out to what we expect them too, never hurts to have more prospects.

Look at the bright side....Mete looks like a legit top 4, Cole Caufield is a stud, Ryan Poehling and KK are pretty nice pieces. You can get a large haul for Drouin, Domi is really good, Alex Romanov could be coming over soon, Primeau is the 2nd coming, and you guys will have another great pick in a stacked draft. (P.S. Pick Perfetti or Rossi, maybe drafting centres hasn't worked out in the past, one of those elite playmaking talents next to Caufield is insane)

I don't agree with this, Our drafting was alway top notch, we just couldn't develop to save our lives. With Bouchard in Laval, things are really turning around.

Selling the vets will give some of these players plenty of ice time.

The issue is, every time Montreal looks like they need a rebuild, Bergevin sits on his hands at the deadline and thinks he can fill in depth roster spots and try to get 8th place next year. I expect nothing to happen, but there are at least 5 vets that Montreal should sell this year.

Disagree. Habs have never really focused on drafting and developing.
