Sell Time Pit Fla Tor Car Vgk

Created by: ChiHawk
Team: 2019-20 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 8, 2020
Published: Jan. 8, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Hawks go all in on Lehner in Free agency. It's a risk, but the Hawks need to load up on prospects right now and the 1st round pick will help do that.

Don't want to trade Saad, he's valuable to the team obviously but if the Hawks are going into a mini rebuild it's necessary for the right offer. Again, another 1st round pick builds the prospects. Chucky is dump, maybe he looks decent in a Hawks sweater and we can sign him in free agency for under $3M.

Gilbert needs some more work but believe he can fill in for Maatta.

It's sad but believe Crow is done as a Hawk and Tor could use him as a solid veteran backup that brings cup experience to a team without much cup experience. Adding Nylander for Kap makes sense for the Hawks. We could also give up Koekko and Tor can dump Ceci on the Hawks as part of the package. If not, maybe the Hawks add a 4th round pick going back to Tor.

I see a lot of Mrazek + for Lehner...Petr isn’t the guy. You’d need it to be Reimer for the Canes to bite

I'll change it, wasn't sure which one Carolina preferred keeping.

This would be a perfect trade deadline for the hawks. I just hope they atleast do some of these moves.

What's with the OTT trade? I think Stan would prefer to use those 3rds as chips to move up a few slots in order to draft "his guy". He seems to do that a little bit more than the average GM.

I still have a hard time with that PIT trade. Saad's been outstanding. and Galy is a UFA. I mean I get wanting another 1st. It's just hard to give up Saad in order to do that. Don't you think he'd get more next year as a pending UFA when they could retain half?! I mean, couldn't PIT just do the same thing? Flip him and get more? That's half the reason Muzzin cost so much. If for whatever reason TOR wasn't playing well...they could just flip him. We should trade Saad for a 1st and then PIT next year can turn around and trade him for a 1st. It's a Free half a year plus playoffs. No?

Some great trades here. Would be happy for them to come off, I do agree with the above mentioned point about Chucky however and feel we should either keep him or get more for him but I like all the other trades.

I'm sure they would. I don't think Bowman would do it, but at the same time...TBL has TONS of expendable assets. Maybe the worst of the 2 firsts and sending cap to CHI? Rutta / Condon?

Kuba has been good, but he's definitely not worth a 1st rounder already, hence it would be an overpay. Also, realistically, Tampa would have no space to re-sign him this offseason so it's not even worth the hustle haha
(No need for Tampa to give Condon away as he'll be FA at the end of the season.
Rutta has been amazing this season, he's the best D partner for Hedman we've seen since Stralman's best days.)

I wouldn't be comfortable giving up Kuba. He has been a shining light this year and on track for 40+ points on his rookie year.
