Pittsburgh isn't winning anymore cups, I think those days are over. Not trying to be mean.

They've been one of the more dominant teams in the league and have been injured literally all year

Yeah people said they weren't winning the cups against the sharks and that firepower offense and nashville and that great defense and goaltending

I know Rakell is your guy but what’re your thoughts on Kase? Craig Custance just listed him on his trade board for the athletic and this is what it said:

“Kase was part of the Justin Faulk speculation earlier this season, and there’s an expectation from other teams that the Ducks would still move Kase. “He hasn’t been able to stay healthy, they’ve changed coaches. It hasn’t fit,” said one executive.”

1. Addison isn't getting traded.
2. Pens don't need "much needed toughness" they made that mistake from 2018-2019. So no need for Miles Wood
3. We have size & depth, have you been watching?

Geno is playing some of his best hockey
Sid is still the best overall 200 ft player

You can’t be serious. This team is better than the team that won cups.

I feel like Kase could be a top line guy though especially for the Penguins. The huge difference between Kase and Rakell is the amount of assets PIT would have to give up and I’d much rather have Addison and Kase in the organization than strictly Rakell.

Guys don’t mind the haters. Fans and experts have made the Penguins an easy target to bash because they have the face of the sport, Sidney Crosby. Remember when all the experts at the start of the season predicted the Pens would be a lottery team this season? Remember when back in 2016, every playoff round they played the analysts predicted they would get swept? They would never bash their beloved Patrick Kane. Don’t forget the Penguins have the best center depth when healthy. There’s not one team even close to them in that category.

Agree there’s no denying Rakell is the better player but Kase is cheaper, plays a two way game which would fit well with Sid and the Penguins get to keep Addison who is a Norris contender.

the problem with this is you don't consider how the cap is going to work next year.
They got guys who are going to get paid. There isn't enough cap to go around.
Fact is as build if this team was healthy it had a real good chance at playing for a cup.
Why destroy that and put yourself in cap hell.
I think they have a very good chance next year at winning a cup. Better than this year actually as they will improve on the backend and get more forward depth with their youth.
Rakell, would be nice but not at that cost.

The whole plan is to upgrade and then get picks back with some of our RFA's or players.
REMEMBER - GMJR always says he will deal with next yr / next year
we have plenty of space next yr + w/ better season from JJ & Horny makes them move able this summer
maybe Juggs comes back and plays better, then could move him - So many moving parts- U kno GMJR will go all out

The difference in player is GiNormous too. Rakell is a legit top line guy - Kase is not.
