Thoughts

Ottawa
- Josh Norris is WAY TOO low... how is this guy 44??? he's leading all rookies in scoring in the AHL. Watching this guy progress is unreal.
- Shane Pinto should also be much higher!! The guy was second on the US team in scoring and is almost a ppg in the NCAA as a freshman.

Other
- There is way too many goalies on this list... Goalie potential is so hard to predict. A lot of them end up falling off!!
- Caufield is grossly overrated. YES Skill wise - he can score but doesn't and probably will never have the physical strength to compete vs man;
- A lot of top Russian Prospects!!
- Is Shesterkin the real deal?? being number 1 as a goalie is kinda shocking?
- New york: What happend to Kravtsov?
- Winnipeg: What happened to Vesalainen???
- Edmonton: What happened to Bouchard?????

Teams with No elite prospects
- Calgary
- Carolina
- Chicago
- Edmonton
- New jersey
- San jose

Caufield isn’t overrated, the guy is breaking records because he’s a pure sniper

Vesalainen isn’t good if you didn’t know
Kravtsov takes a drop, normal
Bouchard I agree big ?

I'd personally have Primeau in the top 10.. Saw him play vs OTT and he's absolute stud.

But no, Button put him as 3rd on the MTL depth chart and outside the top 50

Yeah, he's probably the best pure goal scorer on this list.. but do you really think that'll translate to the NHL?

I think Button included Primeau in the MTL depth chart

Frost, Brannstrom, Heinola, and Studnicka have already made their NHL Debuts, although Studnicka has only played 2 games so I guess he can stay, but the other 3 have played quite a few NHL games already. Also think Ian Mitchell can make this list over K'Andre Miller. Dude's a dumpster fire on defense

Vesalainen dropped because he played in Europe last year and has taken a while to re-adjust to playing in NA. He’s really stepped it up as of late, and should be ready to go for the Jets full time next year. Plus he’s only 20, he has time.

Also he should be 3rd on the Jets list over Chisholm and the rest, don’t know what Button is thinking

I agree!

K'andre Miller was a mess in his on End at the WJC.. Definitely not as advertised - the guy was supposed to be this strong shut down guy

Got to see Chisholm play for the petes this year. The guy is a stud!

But yeah, I just remember the trade rumors around OTT last year. They were trying to ply Vesalainen out of WIN for a possible stone trade. Winnipeg were apparently totally unwilling to do it. "Allegedly" But who really knows what goes on behind close doors.

Yeah, Vesa can still be another big and strong top-6 forward for us (6’4”, 207 lbs) along with Scheifele, Wheeler, and Laine. I’ve for high hopes for him. If we weren’t going to move him for Stone I’d imagine we’re not going to move him.

He's having a bad year - doing nothing in the minors.

Although, he did look really good against his peers at the WJC

He started off rough, but he was just starting to heat up right before he went over. Hopefully he can come back and start to get going.
