Ducks are rebuilding, they will not give you a top 10 pick for a 32 year old player. REBUILD

In fact everyone decline, why is Danault worth a first, maybe a 5th

I doubt Ducks trade their 1st as the are rebuilding. Jets also probably not trading 1st pick either for Danualt. Panther is iffy. That being said you do not have enough picks to entice Wings to trade pick, if they land number 1 pick.

Are you suggesting that Danault is only worth a 5th ?

Yes, what is 22 goal scorer Chaisson worth on the Oilers....... A first as well.

Key difference being Chiasson is a winger, has a career high of 38 points playing with the best player on the planet and isn't exactly the most dominant 2 way player.

Hayes and Hanzal got a 1st as pending UFAs so it's not outrageous to think Danault could get similar imo.

Well good luck with that trade.

I think I would keep those 4 1st round picks instead. Anaheim 1st next year might be a top 5.

Danault is clearly worth a 1st for a playoff team. Excellent secondary scoring, big center, great at draws and a perfect 2 way center. His value is much higher than Tatar's. Plus his contract is great

Could get more for Tatar. Especially if we are trading him to a divisional rival. The Detroit trade is comparable. He's twice the player he was then and he's better now.

Danault is worth a lot more than that. I don't see Montreal trading him because he's near impossible to replace. The price would be a lot more than just a late 1st round pick.

Same goes for Petry, a 1st is the main piece in the trade, you still have to add more.
