Malkin is 7th in points per game at the moment with 40 points in 30 games. PIT is not going to move him for cheap, and especially not going to retain salary on him. He's a big reason why PIT is in the playoff race, considering how much injuries they have.

CGY needs to add. A lot.

No Malkin isn’t worth that much anymore. He is washed up but Rust and Guentzel have been keeping him alive.

Not to sound rude or anything or to sound like a common Penguins fan but to get Evgeni Malkin would probably cost Monahan.

Malkin is hurt too much to pay THAT price.
Maybe a 1st Rd Pick, Pelletier, Valimkai and maybe another prospect.

Or Monohan, 1st, and a good defensive prospect (to which CGY do not have many).
