Agreed, on a non playoff team you have no reason to do that.

Papi is right, if we push it to the TDL we can probably get a 2nd and a B prospect for Dilly, a third for Melker and maybe a A prospect and a 2nd rounder for Labanc

Not to mention maybe a 2nd for Sorensen

Think it will depend on the quantity demanded for a top 4 LHD. I do not see a ton of teams lining up for that (I count WPG, maybe NYI and PIT if Dumolin cannot go in the playoffs (but I think he can)). I think a 3rd is the fair estimate, just because demand is down for a 2nd pair LHD. Still, I think if Dillon wants too much money for the Sharks, moving him for a third is a good move.

Dillon is twice as good as Braun who fetched a 2nd and 3rd in the offseason. This is at the TDL where values regularly get inflated. Dillon will get more than a third no doubt.

This could easily be a deadline that is very quiet for a bunch of reasons (most teams seem to be set for the most part with their roster, not a ton of top talent, and a upcoming deep draft). We will see how it plays out. I do not disagree that Dillon is talented; I am only saying he may not get the return he deserves.

Isles should be in on Dillon after the Pelech injury.

New York Islanders Brenden Dillon

San Jose Sharks 2020 2nd, 2020 4th, Josh Ho-Sang

I think SJS is one of the teams where it makes sense to take the flyer on JHS. Inexpensive contract and nothing to lose.
