As it stands this is a terrible deal for SJ. If were retaining on Dillon especially bad. More like yamamoto, a 1st, 3rd and Cooper Marody.

I see it as a first for Labanc(fair) Yamamoto for Dillon( Yam is probably worth like a second so not a terrible deal) but adding Goodrow is why I saw there should be another pick or prospect

Goody has taken a massive step this year, I disagree with trading him in the first place, with his low salary signed for another year with the fact that he is an elite PKer if he is traded he alone gets a 2nd

I don't think Holland takes this: Yamamoto is fast proving he belongs in the top-6 and has had instant chemistry with Draisaitl. He has 3 points and +4 in just 4 games. Would Labanc be better in that spot? It's doubtful. He's having his worst season in 3 years and is a team-worst -23.

Dillon has little value for Edmonton: he has similar skills to Larsson and would be playing 3rd pairing in Edmonton. He's a pure rental, too. Is he even an upgrade over Kris Russell? As a supposed "shutdown" defenseman he allows twice as many goals against, 2.74 GA/60 vs Russell's 1.40, although their SA/60 and xGA/60 are similar, so some of that is Edmonton's stellar goaltending saving Russe... oh, wait. 2.75 GA/60 is about Dillon's average for the past 2 years too, so it's not like this year is an anomaly.

Is Barclay Goodrow worth an unprotected 1st in this spring's draft? Not a chance. He's nearly 27 and has never topped 20 points in a single season in the NHL! Although to be fair, he'll do it this year - he's at 19 already. But 1st round pick value? That's laughable.

So no, this trade isn't going to happen. There isn't nearly enough value coming back to Edmonton, it's basically two 1st round picks for a journeyman 4th line C, a defensively suspect 3rd line winger and a 7th defenseman.

Well you were doing okay until the end but the summary is 100% wrong. Dillon is not a 7th d by any stretch of the imagination, Goodrow is better than everyone in your bottom six, and Labanc is having a bad season because the sharks suck and would clearly fit on the second line perfectly and be able to score well again.
