Idk much about Nashville and Montreal, but that's an interesting trade, I'd imagine Montreal would want draft picks or something else

That’s one of the best price trade I’ve seen here. For sure, the ideal for mtl would be to get picks or prospect. But with the cap situation, the habs are almost forced to get high salary in return. Plus, we could trade Turris with salary retained to get picks. Rinne could be a good starter for the next 1 or 2 years before Primeau becomes the starter. The only problem is maybe Mtl would want a little bit more

I'm sure they'll want more, but really what are the options? The length and cap hit of that contract is enormous, and Turris also isn't completely useless fills a need at C that Habs have had for a while

Trade makes zero sense for Montreal or Nashville.

Nashville doesn't touch that price trade with a ten foot pole.
