Ducks wouldn’t have a need for Roslovic.

Yeah no it’s not close. Ehlers is one of the Jets most valuable players. He’s finally getting the recognition he deserves. He’s 23, signed for 6 years at 6m a great contract. On pace for 70 pts, 30 goals. You’re gonna have to give up this and more. The jets are super high on him. It’s not a very good look for Chevy to move a guy who committed long term to the city. We don’t get players wanting to be here very often. I’m not sure in what jets will ask for but the guys I have @ might know.

He’s making about the average of the 65-70 point scorers from last season outside of ELCs. Reinhart and Dadonov at about 4M and then Tarasenko and Johansen at the 7.5-8M range. He’s making in range of what he should be points wise. I haven’t looked at his metrics tho.

His possession numbers are ridiculous. He improved leaps and bounds over this past offseason it’s crazy. He’s only going to get better. Would t be surprised to see him turn into a consistent 30* goal 75+ pt guy. He’s super valuable to the team and unless you really blow the socks off of Chevy. He’s not going anywhere.

That’s fair. Just thought an actual NHL top 4 D and a young 2C could help them for some scoring help for the ducks would be beneficial to both teams.

Oh trust me it would be nice to have the two guys proposed. But ehlers value to the Jets is too high. Wheeler has done very well at 2c, so it’s not a rush to get one. With the buff situation looming it’s hard to make a move for a top 4 guy.

I think you’re not that far off value wise but to get the jets to accept you’d need to add a hit and that probably gets the Ducks off the idea so it probably wouldn’t work.

I wouldn't move Steel, but I'd do Terry.

Id use either for 24 yr old or younger stud as long as you think Zegras could be a 1C. Lundestrom will be a 2way 2C. 3C are usually the most available centers. Should be easy to fill that hole.

A lot of ducks fans think the team should be moving some of the vets for picks and I hate the idea of being like DET and OTT for the next few seasons. With Gibson Lindholm Fowler and Rakell I think they should try looking for young NHLers to add to what they have. If there’s a price that they can live with for an Ehlers or Nylander without using this years 1st, high end guys like that. Or maybe a smaller package for a guy like Mantha. They need to add goals.

I'm a big fan of Ehlers, so he'd be my go to guy. Don't see Lundestrom being a 2C. More of 3C in my book. Zegras has 1C potential, but I'd still prefer to add another C at the draft, at least that's my opinion right now.

Comtois - Byfield - Ehlers
Rakell - Zegras - Kase
Henrique/Steel - Lundestrom - Silf

The back-end would look pretty bad though. Maybe move Steel for D-man?

Well that wouldn’t be the only move in the offseason. There’s plenty of pieces with value up front that they could use to add a Dman plus the UFA class isn’t horrible.

Maybe I’m too optimistic but I think Lundestrom could be a Jordan Staal type. Defensive C with 15/30/45 potential.

I agree, but, at least imo, Jordan's was best utilised in PIT, where he was 3C behind Crosby and Malkin. Seriously, that middle grouping was insane. Would love to have that in ANA. Byfield - Zegras - Lundestrom maybe?

If Im the jets I say no, but Im also a jets fan and I love me some Ehlers.
Plus I get the intrigue of adding a D man to the jets, but they also have some good young players coming up and if Buf is gone, they'll have money to spend
