But only because it's inside the division.

Winnipeg accepts, and laughs all the way to the playoffs.

This is probably better as a three way trade, since the Jackets would totally take a B prospect and a 2nd from a west coast team for Anderson, as bad as he is this year, and the Jets would rather have Jensen than Anderson.

I was originally going to say that I am not sure of the 2nd is necessary, but then I realized Anderson is a RFA, not UFA.

However, Anderson is having a butt year and I like Johansen. Also... players have been bailing from Columbus. It doesn't seem like guys like to play there, so Anderson could play hardball when resigning.

Might need a middle buffer but cbj probably wants the prospect and pick.

This is just moronic. UFAs come and go from teams every year. Anderson has been hurt all year, thus the bad numbers from him. But to suggest that nobody wants to play here is asinine and shows that you know nothing.

CBJ most certainly do not need to trade for another LHD prospect. And absolutely will not trade Anderson to a division rival

Are we even rivals at this point? You guys blew your load to make the playoffs last year. Literally traded so many assets to come up short. Washington is one of the best teams in the league I highly doubt we view you as a rivals. Maybe a little brother? But Pittsburgh is a better rival.

Shows that I know nothing... except for recent history. You know, except for the facts.

The rats fled the ship in droves this summer. No quality UFA stayed, only Nyquist came.

Anderson over the prior 2 seasons was a .41 ppg guy on top of his normal play, this year .15 ppg. That's a 64% drop in offensive production.
Anderson over the prior 2 seasons was a .32 gpg guy, this year .04 gpg. That's a 88% drop in goal production.
1 goal in 26 games this season.
That's called a butt year.

You're 0 for 2 on your witty comeback... wanna try again?

The "Don't trade to rival's" thing is overblown by fans. You make a trade because it makes YOUR team better (otherwise why make the trade) and it is not relevant who the other team is.

I agree. People on this site base things off emotion and barely use any logic.

Like if Washington offered them Carson for Murray cbj would decline bc it’s a rivalry

Again, people see the word rival and think philly-Pittsburgh kind of thing. They play each other 5-6 times and compete for the same playoff spot, in that sense they are rivals. Never said they wouldn’t make a trade with a division rival, but they definitely aren’t trading Anderson to one. He’s hard to play against and CBJ would most certainly want to avoid that should they trade him.

Panarin was gone anyway. Same with Bob. Duchene a rental. Nyquist is a pretty damn good quality UFA. Again, Anderson played the whole season until IR with a tear in his shoulder. Production down but doesn’t mean he all of a sudden is hot garbage. God you people are idiots

No, not "anyway". You are just lying to yourself.

Who said he was hot garbage? Who even hinted at that? You are so far off in this AGM thread that i don't even know if you realize that you are on the computer.

You already backpeddled on the "rival" thing... keep going with that trend.

Rival as in we play each other a bunch and fight for the same playoff spot. Go blow your own load dummy. Also, CBJ 2-0 vs “big brother” this season, so suck one idiot

2-1 haha and Washington has the most points in the nhl. How’s the jackets doing? Oh that’s right instead on selling off assets you idiots bought at the deadline and failed. Didn’t even make the EFC. Yeah congrats on mismanagement of assets haha

This dude is clueless. Imagine if cbj trade Panarin and Bob at the deadline....

They hardly had the team. They should have stacked picks and prospects and went after it when they actually had a real opportunity to win. They could have got 2 first round picks plus a few high end prospects for both players. Either way the rivals comment was stupid and selling off assets will likely set them back for a couple years.

if anderson sucks so hard why do so many people want him?

Fact is he's a good player. He hasn't been healthy all year and hasn't had the kind of help on a line a role player needs. It is what it is. Don't blame the player. We know he can fill his role. He's done it before.

they also put no value to other teams players and think everyone should hand over their good players for a pittance.

Or player that had 1 good season playing with Panarin? He’s a 30-35 point player who’s having a down year. “Good” is subjective. A second round pick is considered “good” also. LucaJo is also considered “good”. He was a 1st round pick with is pretty “good”. But again this doesn’t excuse your thoughtless original comment. I think Andersson is good and would fit nicely on the 3rd line. Getting a former 1st round pick paired with a 2nd round pick in a deep draft is a solid return for a bottom 6 player. Just so we are clear CBJ thought Duclair was a “bad” player or a “pittance”.

When has he done it before? He’s done it once. Before playing w Panarin he was a bottom 6 guy who scored 30 points. They at one point had him on the 4th line. Do you follow the player or just comment blindly and hope for the best?
