Lol that will never happen. Please tell me this is a joke, Ek centers a checking line that has been shutting down the leagues top scoring lines. Spurgeon is criminally underrated and Staal is on a very very team friendly deal. Literally the only player we would be getting back in return of any value would be Domi. Sorry but this proposal makes no sense at all for the wild. Really, Kovalchuk? That was the most ridiculous part of this one sided trade. Do you really think the wild need another veteran winger when we already need to make room for Kaprizov? And seriously trading 2 of our top 3 centers and 1 top pairing defenseman? You are obviously a Montreal fan because this is the opposite of realistic trade expectations by a wide margin.

Minnesota is trading a terrible long term contract and an aging center for a young top 6 forward, and 2 3rd liners. Keep dreaming.

I'm also going with MTL saying NO. They are not trying to get older. Not a chance. They'll take on older players and/or bad contracts (that aren't too long) but want prospects/high picks in return.
