Could Blueger be the 3rd line center

Description

Rutherford on a radio show today called Blueger "the Nick Bonino replacement" and Sullivan's been steadily giving him more and more ice time. At first I was concerned about his offense but over the last 16 games he has 8 points with 17 minutes of ice time.

I don't think anyone would disagree that he's played well enough to be the 3C but is that worth breaking up his current line? If he's going to keep playing with Tanev and ZAR (which I think he should because that line is incredible) I'd rather have them as a shutdown 4th line like what the Islanders have with Martin-Cizikas-Clutterbuck and have the 3rd line have more offensive minded players. But I think if they put him next to a guy like Rust or Kahun that line could do some serious damage. But overall I think they should keep him Tanev and ZAR together on the 4th line. What do you guys think?

Easy answer is yes. He plays the game the right way. His scoring touch is also coming along. Penguins need to build the chemistry with him, Tanev, and ZAR and you have a Staal-Cooke-Kennedy type line that can eat up the other teams best players minutes, hold the zone, get scoring chances, and set the stage for the Sid or Geno line to jump over the boards.

You don’t have to break up the ZAR-Blueger-Tanev line to push Blueger to 3C. You push that whole line up to 3rd line. And they’d be a fantastic 3rd line. A line that shuts down the opposing top line, gives the team energy, has some offensive upside to chip in on the occasional goal.
