Description

Avs fans, if you want impact players at the deadline, they will have to give up at least their first round pick and, at minimum, one or two B to B+ level prospects. It's just the way it works around the deadline.

The Avs are in a window where they have a legitimate shot at winning (A) with MacKinnon on one of the best deals in the league, (B) Grubauer with a cap hit under 4 for this year and next, and (C) Makar still on his entry level deal. Picks and prospects are great, players who are already established in the league and who greatly improve the depth are better for this team right now.

Also, apparently, Marc Bergevin really likes Zadorov, so maybe Zadorov and either Kamenev or the 2021 2nd are enough, but I threw both in because everything is more expensive at the deadline and Petry had another year on his deal. This makes the right side of the defense as good as anyone in the league.

MTL= I personnaly like Zado... but with Chiarot, Scandella, Mete, Kulak, Romanov... If it's not for a TOP ONE, no thanks...
and we need more Petry for next season as our right side need will be weak.

You're probably right, the Avs fan in me is hoping Bergy likes Zadorov enough to make that trade.

I can see the avalanche putting in an offer for krieder, but it may need to involve a extension in the deal. I don't see them moving zads when we're going for the cup run. He was a beast in last years playoffs, and you need that kind of toughness in a 7 game series with some of the physical teams in the west. I think Jost will be available to be moved as well.

I dont think I'd do either trade, kreider would likely play 3rd line behind bura and landy... and I cant tell you how necessary zadorov is to a playoff team, guy turned around the flames series last year with 1 hit...with the amount of dmen that the avs have right now and will have next year, makes no sense to bring in another one.. in my humble opinion I think kreider is overrated and the avs arent spending a prospect and 1st on him, that's close to a hall trade

I do think we could use one more forward this season though. Compher has been a stud since the line shuffle, but i think nieto has been seeing too much ice with it. We need to keep him on 4th with Belly and Calvert. Kreider could slide in with Compher and Rants, then a Burky Kadri Nichuskin line wouldn't be bad at all.

He may not be, I just think he is... hes on par with burakovsky this year, do you really think it would be worth a 1st rd pick and prospect to upgrade your 3rd line?

To me it isnt, but that's what I'm assuming the rangers will want which to me is overrating
