    the oilers dont take on carter much less give up assets for him when they dont have the cap space and if you get panarin the kings most likely dont finish low enough in the standings to get a shot at Alex Laf

    So lets think about this for a second, the 2019-20 lineup would be:
    Iafallo Kopitar Brown
    Panarin Carter Luff
    Kempe Lizotte Prokhorkin
    Clifford Amadio Wagner

    Walker Doughty
    Hutton Roy
    MacDermid Clague

    Quick
    Campbell

    Kovi would be gone and Martinez, Toffoli, and Lewis would have been traded sooner. This is a lottery team... There is a team that would take Carter, just maybe not EDM

    Yeah its really disappointing for us Kings fans. We're good enough to almost make the playoffs but don't and then we wont win the lottery which means we wont have that good of a pick so we'll still end up sucking. But hey at least Kovalchuk's gone

    Listen Mr. President, Kovalchuk wasn't bad. We didn't give him the right opportunity to succeed. Montreal sure is though. He is in their top 6 playing 19+ mins a game. He has 3 points in 2 games so far.

    Yeah I didn't say that Kovalchuk was bad. We were just using up cap space with a guy who didn't fit in our team so its better now that we traded him
