We don't need Ceci, and there's no way Tampa does this. Also you could get more in the Vegas trade I think.

I agree. In a deep draft, the Oilers need that first. And need a player will be a player. (That is play in the NHL) A deal to acquire Saad only works to me, if Edmonton can afford to resign him. Can they afford him after 20-21 season?

Use this draft, draft up if need be, and get that winger for McDavid. I will always say this, Draisaitl needs to play centre. The Oilers need two offensive lines. Draisaitl & McDavid play together on PP, and late in games when it is tied or when the Oiler are looking to tie it up. They would be a more competitive team if they had two scoring lines.

RNH is good enough to centre the second line. What they need is a third line centre and a couple wingers. Or if they get enough wingers then they can run (as you say) a killer C line up of McDavid/Drai/RNH like the old Crosby/Malkin/J Staal teams.

But their wing depth is such ****....

I agree, but you have the choice of Draisaitl or Nugent-Hopkins as the 2nd centre, I hope most would pick Draisaitl. Referencing the depth of the Penguin’s centres validates my point.

My comment was responding to acquiring Saad, and I think Edmonton should use their first to acquire a goal scorer. The Penguins had the same trouble (2010. - 2015) finding quality wingers. I am talking about consistency. It wasn’t until Pittsburgh traded for Kessel they had a dominate scorer where one shot could break the game open. Kessel, I think added a new winkle when defending against the Penguins offence.

Ehlers is my choice of Winger Edmonton should acquire, although he is having another great season, and his value would be too high.
