Don't see Montreal paying a 3rd round pick for someone who likely doesn't crack the lineup.

I've been struggling with that since I posted it...I'm gonna swap him and Svechnikov.

In what world does Green not crack the MTL lineup? Like they're even a .500 team lol

Where does his 8 points in 35 games, -20 fit in Montreal's lineup? Who does he play over?

Sign Andy Greene to a low contract only to healthy scratch him? What are you Babcock? Ruthless.

As a rangers fan I feel like that is pretty good value for both teams. Nicely done.

First pull Hall out there is less than a 0% chance he signs in Detroit if he wanted to be on a rebuilding team he would've stayed in NJ. Plus If Detroit does end up with the 1st pick and takes Lafreniere Detroit should be looking to sign a top pair defenseman. Ryan and Neilson both older under performing Ryan's cap is higher but Neilson's is spread out over an extra season. I don't think this happens because Detroit and Ottawa know what have and neither is contributing much so I think both teams stick with what they know. Now a top pair defenseman isn't available wait until next season. This is how I would do the top 2 Lines:

    Bertuzzi - Larkin - Mantha
    Lafreniere - Veleno - Zadina

You can flip Mantha and Zadina it you want. Thats my opinion.

First off like i stated on another post? Montreal isn't making the playoffs and i seriously doubt they're on Mike Greens trade list. Montreal needs LD help not RD help. Nielsen isn't waiving from one bad team to another. No reason for Nielsen to waive for Ottawa and Detroit takes on the worst contract with Bobby Ryan and nothing coming back. No thanks. And i can't see Yzerman dealing AA for a Goalie they don't have that kind of value Georgiev isn't making Detroit a contender anytime soon. I'd rather sign a UFA Goalie short term no more then 2-3 years until the kids are ready.

No both Ryan and Nielsens contracts expire in the 2021/2022 season Nielsen doesn't have the extra year they're the same and Ryan makes $2 million more then Nielsen so there's no incentive for Detroit to make that trade.

He's not a top 6 player in Montreal. Sorry, but it's the truth.
