I like it. Who do you think is better between John Marino and Ryan Ellis?

I would think the Hawks would agree to that to motivate them to move Saad...well done. Not sure about the Calgary trade...pretty hard to judge NB's value IMO.

I like it. Good pick, nice prospect, potential bounce back candidate in Galchenyuk (if we can hold on to him) for a top-6 two way winger with term. Works for me

too much for saad, especially without retention.

saad (1 mil retained) for 1st, Galchenyuk, and a lesser prospect

If you're willing to give up that much for Saad, you'll be glad to hear that it will definitely cost less.

I don't think it will. Chucky is a UFA and the way he's playing the best thing the Hawks can do is try to flip him for 3rd if they are lucky or a 4th. The other alternative is to do a very short term 1 or 2 year deal for $2M to $3M to see if he dramatically bounces back. Right now, Chucky is a big risk to sign for much more then that and keep in mind, Hawks don't have any rights to him more then any other team.

I think Bowman would be very happy if this Saad trade was a reality. Two factors which would motivates this deal. Chicago were to miss the playoffs. If they were on the bubble, then maybe Saad would stay for the push. That first rounder. To get a second first round (in this draft) would be the selling point. If that was the case, I see no advantage keeping Saad if they were a bubble club.
