Gonna take more than that to get him. Check first post for my opinion. Also in that same reply I said Heinola is still probably 2-3 years away so I mean.

He's smart but no where near NHL ready. He's not strong enough, needs to improve his skating and shot. I give it at least another year, if not 2. In exhibition and the start of the year he was getting dominated in the corners.

I wouldn’t say dominated but he was definitely getting pushed around a bit. But how many 18 yr old defencemen do you see in the nhl anyway. There’s probably a reason for that. He will be much stronger next year and his skating was already looking bettter in the wjc

I think if he isn’t on the team next year he jets are both hurting his development and hurting their chances to win

Fair enough, if he’s ready that’s awesome. I just think the team is so stacked at LD, no reason to rush him into the lineup.

It wouldn’t be rushing imo. As I said it is better or both him and the team for him to be with the jets

Small point but would much rather move Perreault, keep Lowry and spend that extra couple million on a better backup

Questionable if pionk and heinola can be partners, which kinda leads to not having niku and heinola in the lineup at the same time because both would be not big enough or heavy enough to partner with pionk, or am reading too much into it, unless pionk and morrisey can partner together.

Pionk can partner with anyone and heinola was his partner for 5 games. Was very good with him too. Most nights were our best pairing. I think people underestimate the fact that pionk can handle himself physically. That being said he only has enough for himself so niku is an automatic out to be his partner for now

This season and next, going to play some large dividends for this young blueline and playing the large minutes, nice to see niku up and gaining the experience.

We aren't trading Domi and not even getting a 1st round pick.
