Honestly what the hell?! the kid played two great games (lost to a contending team in COL his first game but played great with 32 saves .914%, then gets his first win being lights out with 35 saves .946%....and gets sent down. I thought maybe they'd call him back up after their road trips...but nope. and it's not like they have been playing him a lot in Laval either!!! since they sent him back down Dec 12th....He's only started in 4 games.......4 GAMES!!! I don't get it.

Now Price has royally sucked, and Lindgren has been decent but it's obvious he'll only ever be a back up guy. So why the hell are we not calling Primeau back up and playing him some games.

If this season is going down the drain, I want this freakin team to start playing the kids more. let's get them some experience and move vets with expiring contracts.

Impossible. He has full NMC. MTL has to protect him.

Also playing Primeau now would make him available in the expansion draft.

Yes Price would have to waive. but he's from British-Columbia... so it's not out of the realm possibilities that would be ok waiving to get closer to home (Seattle is literally a 2hr drive from Vancouver)

As for the expansion draft, guys like Suzuki and Poehling (rookies) are exempt in the seattle draft, so how would Primeau (also a rookie) somehow become draft eligible even if they protect Price? As long as MTL expose 1 goalie (Lindgren or another Vet goalie they can sign) he's exempt.

Yeah that's actually true. I was under impression that when they have played two full seasons in NHL they become available, but it turned out that if they have played two or less they're still exempt.
