im pretty sure off season LTIR wasn't a thing until Chicago needed the cap relief. at the time from what I knew there was no such thing until chicago needed the cap space and magically there is now a way to get relief

I completely agree. While the Guentzel news was awful after the year of injuries... If he can come back healthy in round two things suddenly get interesting. This feels like the year to load up on quality players. Simon, ZAR, and Bjugstad have to be made available imo.

Disagree a bit though. Guentz will be back on Sids line I think and I don`t think they trade ZAR or Simon. Bjugstad and Galchenyuk are most likely to go. Would like to see a dman brought in like Andy Greene or something. Doesn`t have to be a huge splash. Another Trevor Daley like addition from 2016 would be nice.
