Wrong. Nothing is fair about this trade. Rielly is better and much younger than Burns and Dillon is literally worth 2nd rounder at max. To add Kapanen, Sandin (who is developing into top pairing Dman of his own) and 2 1sts is absolutely ridiculous.

This trade wins Toronto a cup almost instantly. Burns is a two time norris winning defense champion. Dillon is the fastest dman in the league today, together, as a pair, no team can stop that brutal onslaught of defense

The Noriz trophy is given every year (behind the scenez) to the best player in the world. Only Radim Simek has won it more than Burnz

Let's talk the here and now, not what happened it the past. Dillon might be the only Shark Dman that has value. Burns, Karlsson, Vladic aren't worth their 26.5m now and certainly won't be in the future.
We've seen lots of Sharks trades to the Leafs lately...mostly the same nonsense. Never ending cap dumps for young cost efficient players.

Yep, I wish the Leafs had two better DMen replacing Barrie and Ceci. But every team wishes they had better Dmen. Certainly wouldn't go looking to San Jose for an upgrade.
