Kings Decline. Kings have very few RD prospects, they aren't giving up Walker nor are they giving up Campbell to move down their 3rd round pick and two bottom-six left-wingers.

Am I missing something in the TOR/FLA/DET deal? the Leafs give up Liljegren, Scott, Bracco, and a 3rd and receive Ekblad? I dont see how that is fair

Look what FLA is receiving from DET: Hronek, Veleno & 4th
DET receives a boat load of rebuilding tools. Was thinking of adding a 1st from TML to DET but was watiitn to hear from responses

I think your valuation of Eckblad is good. Issue I have is seems the Cats are committed to winning..... so I am not sure they move him for future assets. I suspect in a deal like that an NHL proven player of similar age maybe required, and even then, you maybe barkijg up the wrong tree.

Ekblad isn’t getting traded unless you severely overpay...what you are offering isn’t doing that

Panthers give up Borgstrom, Ekblad and a 2and for... Hronek and Veleno who both have slim chances of becoming the players they give up, and trading down the 2nd to a 4th? At least try to look as if you're considering another team's situation.

also gives them some wiggle room to keep both dadanov and hoffman next season while having room to resign a top 4RHD

So then flip Dadonov or Hoffman if you want assets, don't trade down the good pieces you have. I'm sure they could get a cheap ELC winger for either - say Dadonov to the Bruins for someone in their system, or a retained Hoffman to Toronto or Colorado for a prospect. There are so many smart moves with upside and this isn't one of them. You trade out your 30 year old wingers if you want to get younger and cheaper, not your 24 year old RHDs

to be fair, he was arguing campbell wouldnt be sent with their 3rd rounder for mango moore a 4th and a 5th. he didnt particularly say campbell wasnt being moved. moore is a decent prospect but the potential 2nd and the 3rd are probably the best parts of the deal...

Yeah, I mean the trade basically became two thirds for soupy + cliffy. I honestly think the trade benefits both teams. We are rooting for the Leafs to make the playoffs (as long as Campbell wins 6!)
