A few things:
Gallagher’s style is soemthing that would fit perfectly in the Oilers top 6/Top 9.
-He is from here, they’d have a good chance at re-signing him after next season.
-He’s still young enough to fit into the Oilers core for the next 5-7 years.

However, I also believe your value is accurate. It's a good trade really, but Montreal fans love their Gallagher!

You can't get him if none of Bouchard or Broberg is coming to MTL... Otherwise, it simply doesn't make sense for MTL to trade their leader. Pulju is likely a bust (being good in the liiga at his age doesn't mean he'll ever be great in the NHL). We could have draft Lavoie in the 2nd round if we wanted him (which isn't the case) and that first will be a late one. Bad trade for MTL

Edit* just for fun, would Broberg, a 2021 2nd And Maksimov be fair ?

Not sure why we would roast you. Gallagher is much loved here, but for that price tag, I'd think we would move him.

It's just not worth risking a 1st++ for a season and a half of a guy when you're in the Oilers situation.

He is from there, not saying it would be a lock, but that along with playing beside McDavid or Draisaitl would make it more likely than not, I would think.
