Zadorov slew footed and concussed our #3 OA pick Kotkanemi
Fans want him as much as they want Krieder .
Cheap Shot artists who play dumb are never welcome in MTL

i do like the rest of the trade though
maybe add jost instead of Zadorov
MTL was to draft him as per Timmons but ''Sergachev fell into our laps unexpectedly ''

spamming this comment everytime a fan tries making a trade to COL for Price doesnt make it true .

we know what Price has done the awards , gold medals , world cups and all star games speak for themselves
a mediocre back up having a good year is just that and people pretending should remember the cautionary tale of Talbot

I love Price#31 and he'll be fine in any other market with a cohesive D in front of him, but this would be a crazy overpayment. Perhaps if Petry were, instead Weber (with $2M held back), this would be a great deal for Colorado. As it is, I can't imagine Sakic pulling the trigger.

Really, he's not and never will be. Price needs a change of scenery and a team with a consistent D in front of him. The Habs are young, inconsistent and totally unpredictable, and Luke Richardson has done nothing to fix that. I suspect, in a market that isn't Montreal, Price would also get at least a few of the goaltender interference calls that he should get. It's sad that the refs don't even try to hide their bias anymore.

Taking out the defense as much as possible, Price is still average at best (using stats from this year, and a three year sample) and Grubi is well above average, though yeah, the refs have been bad for MTL

Why on earth would any team make a trade like that for a goalie with an even strength GSAA of -28 over the past 2.5 seasons. Why do these delisional trades come up everyday haha. Price hasn't been the goalie he used to be for a long time and the defense isn't the biggest problem. Also that Price contract is just really bad. You're not getting anything of value for him

to fix what ?

our D core is a revolving door outside Weber and Petry we have got no credible top 4 D .
He's made Chiarot into a solid #4 D for sure up from the # 5 role in WPG he played but that still doesnt make him a #1 LD anymore then Mete's a top 4 LD .

we had a solid core infront of him with 2 LD shot blockers who finished top 10 in shots blocked the year of our ECF .
MB blew that core up to push Emelin and Beaulieu as our new top 4 LD Core . Remember how that worked ?

Weber since coming to MTL has played beside Markov , Beaulieu , Nesterov,Alzner , Benn, Mete, Kulak , Chiarot , and now Scandella .
That's when he spent most of his career with 3 LD in Hamuis , Suter and Josi

Yeah what contending team wouldn't like an overpaid goalie with too much term, who's been a below average goalie for the past 3 years and another contract which will age bad like Weber. Time to wake up

dude i read your posts , i cannot humor you after doing so
you dont do many trades because when you do they're really unrealistic to the point i can guarantee you cant find 3 in the past 10 years that even remotely resemble whatever it is you're doing lol

Speaking as a COL fan who watches no MTL games he says lol

you dont want Price fine but be a man and say its because you're to cheap .
trying to pretend he's not talented is kind of a cop out like when poor people complain about the food at a resturant to get it cheap

Look at the comments lol, almost says the trades are fair value, or they are not serious/just getting rid of guys to show something unrelated to the trades...

Bruh literally every stat ever says that Grubi is better than Price lmao, but you're two arguments are the defense (which stats take out the defense for the most part so that doesn't work) and you haven't watched him... When if you do, he's really inconsistent, yeah he can make spectacular saves, but also lets in quite a few soft goals which (as shown in the stats) averages out to being roughly an average goalie at best

Just look at his advanced stats. Over the past 3 seasons: a MDSv% below 90%, HDSv% below 78%. Even strength GSAA of -29. Compare his stats to Gibson and you'll be shocked. People who value Price as that elite goalie live in the past. His advanced stats are below average in any criteria

Let's start with Weber: Carlson will win the Norris hands down, but Weber is currently in the running to be a top-3 finalist this year. On a team that doesn't suck as horribly as the Habs have since Halloween and that has enough depth to give Weber the occasional shorter shift, there's no reason to think a team won't get 2-3 more excellent years out of him — for $3M/year in cash. And, when he's in the last few years of his contract, that cash outlay drops to $1M/year ... or, most likely, Weber retires and the full $7M cap falls back onto Nashville.

On Price, no question, the Habs would have to eat $3M or perhaps a bit more each year, but that's no hassle for the Habs that are chronically $10M or more below cap. So now you're looking at a bonafide starting goalie who can easily carry 60+ games for $6M, which would be a fine outlay for most GMs in the league. Now, what would a fair deal be? I suspect there would be a whole lotta conditional picks and Ps TBNL.
