It always amuses me when people do this sort of thing. I would like to say that Montreal can definitely do better than Johnson and 2nd for Domi, not likely from TO but from someone sure. What is the best way to make a point? By swinging even more to the extreme and thinking it proves any point. Yeah Matthews and Domi are comparable, exactly no one believes that. Domi himself knows how insane that sounds.

Maybe it’s drastic but the message have been received Loud and clear. Would i like matthews in Montreal off course i would. But i know that the leafs won’t trade him unless they get a major return for him. It the same for Domi in Mtl why would they trade him if they don’t get something valuable back.

I'd say the only way Matthews ever gets traded is if McDavid demands a trade and will only play in 3 places TO being one of them. When you have a super elite Young centre you don't trade them. Domi is great and yeah it would take a good package to get him but let's be reasonable. He may be the best forward in Montreal but on some teams he's 4th or 5th best out of just the forwards.

Joke right?
Pretty sure but still

What about this:

To TOR:
Max Domi
Jesperi Kotkaniemi (been playing badddddd lately, Suzuki doing better)
Joel Teasdale
Keith Kinkaid
Every extra draft pick MTL has
2020 1st

Don't like it but...

There might be only 5 or 6 team that have 4 high end forward. Washington, toronto, Colorado, Winnipeg, boston tampa bay and san jose but except from those Max Domi would be in the top 3 or 4 for almost every team. If you look at what Colorado as landed for duchenes or Philadelphia as landed for schenn the deal would be probably somewhere between those two.

Yeah both of those deals were pretty big over pays. Especially Duchene that guy just ruins teams. Domi's good and he'll get a good return.

Duchenes deal was terrible for ottawa because they completely fall apart after that. The pick they gave up was supposed to be a late first round but even without byram that was a major overpayments but that what it cost now to acquire players with term.

Seem’s like! But I don’t see nashville keep loosing like they did the first half. They have to much depth to miss the playoff. Maybe a coaches changes will spark them. If not they will have some real hard decisions coming up

Maybe for a bit but Duchene I honestly think Duchene is going to be a problem for them. Where ever he goes they lose.
