I've personally heard that Yamamoto is better...

I think Yamamoto is better, but I am not a hockey professional scout.

Heinola , Gawnke, Samberg , Lundmark and Chrisholm .
they got prospects but they need a year as Samberg and Gawnke are close as Stanley is IMO if not closer .

Niku they might wanna keep though as he bridges the gap untill the new guys show up

I wish we could get Gawanke tbh. Some fans are starting to sweet that Samberg may not want to sign with Winnipeg and that should be a big blow to their back end pipeline and Bergevin should also target him at the right time.

Suzuki's one of the only rightys and he will not do it (or should not)
KK is NOT ready

Idk I think Suzuki looks realllllyyyy good. I think he could definitely be 2c. He’s that good imo.

You fix it by letting your prospect become regular NHL players, thats how you fix it, you dont trade away the whole team. Diference between Oilers and other teams is we have 2 elite players, that is a start every single GM in the league will take and start with. Holland who I am not a fan of, has not even been here for 1 year yet and you think it should be blown up and start over,. lol thats a joke, I as an Oilers fan never thought they would be a playoff team this year. I thought 2 years from now would be out time.

Not start over but retooled. Obviously you keep McDavid and Draisaitl and a few others but half the team needs to be overhauled. There is no depth and I don't see much hope that somehow your prospects are going to all pan out.

Oilers are loaded with D depth, we just have very little in forward depth, but Yamamoto seems to be working out, Benson is next. I just dont know why we drafted another stupid D in the last draft. You could trade 3 D away right now and not notice. We also have 2 fantastic goalies coming up. But they are still 3 years away,

Chia demolished a bunch of out good players with stupid trades, are you not optimistic that the leafs will win the cup one day even though it has been since 1967, yet you still love them and keep coming back after they lose in the first round. Real sprots people love their teams through thick and thin, it has just been thin for so long as well as leafs fans.

Of course I am optimistic but I also try to be realistic if they weren't good enough I'd want them to retool as well.

My opinion of leafs is they have not addressed any of their needs, better D and get tougher, they got weaker by getting rid of Kadri in fact. Love to have that a$$hole on my team, but at least they got a new coach.

They needed a new coach and Keefe has turned them around. Their defence is good and they are big enough to handle the playoffs and toughness is just tradition it doesn't make or break a team

The Leafs are also 1 injury away of not making the playoffs, Blues and Caps are both big tough teams who won the last 2 years, so i am not sure about the tradition part.

I doubt it. Also Hutchinson has looked capable enough recently and if TO continues to cut down on their turnovers, there new system has been really good. It would make it tough for sure but to suggest TO is alone in this is just silly.

One year too late! Last tdl would have been the right time to sell and reap. New NHL is about youth, speed, depth and dam cap. Mediocre teams need to revamp, not add fillers. The "letter" to us NYR fans was absolutely Brilliant! We saved about three years of wasted time!!! Instantly filled the cupboards with promising youth and hopefully reap the rewards! I'm aware some won't make it or fulfill promise. We went from 0 to about 80 in no time. Habs are stuck in no mans land, thanks to "vers le fin" Bergevin ? (copyright) who screwed the city over so he could secure his job for another year. He's decent at making trades, so now till tdl is "the time", kids n picks. We shouldn't rush/bust kids Poehling, Kotka, Lias, Hajek, Kravtsov... Good luck

Tatar is worth more than that. We aren't going to sell him short. We have 1 1/2 to sell him so we have time.

Petry starts with a 1st round pick.
