I didn’t sign Murray because I honestly don’t know if they should pay him a huge cap number with how well Jarry has been playing. Feel free to discuss in the comments.

I'd do that trade if I was both Pittsburgh and Minnesota. MN needs more picks and Penguins can fit in Zucker and his attributes really well.

That Kahun trade was so good. Chi is legitimately bad at identifying and evaluating defenseman.

I feel like it’s so important to add one more skilled forward to this current core because it will finally allowing for Mike Sullivan to have four concrete lines rather than needing to tinker until he catches lightning in a bottle.

I was shocked when the trade initially came through because I was under the impression that Maatta’s value was a late pick and a cap dump.

Last 2 NHL players to come back from broken legs in the same season =
Schultzy & Trocheck

Both of them did not come back the same players previous to injury.... Tho I like Zucker, I would NOT take a chance on a injured player.

I know what you’re thoughts are on this quite well because of your ACGM’s and your Twitter but I honestly think this is what will happen. I’m huge on Kase and your a big Rakell guy but I don’t think the penguins would want to give up Addison after what he did at the WJC.

2 years for bone to heal. about 1 year to feel "normal" on it.
it's the range of motion. It takes a long time to get it back and then you got the decreased strength in the leg.
I agree completely. He won't be 100%. If they were to make this deal, it's not for this year it's for next.
You can add Bonino to that list too. He broke his leg, took him a year.
It's even worse if you have to get plated. You are talking about removing the plates then which is a second surgery and that to heal from the screw removal. Then it only heals at 80% strength on the tissues due to collagen fibers being weaker. What a mess.

But I think you have to look beyond this year. This team can be really stacked going forward. If they are going to make a move, that is really what the aim should be. Because you got Dumo with that same broken ankle on your blue line. Crosby coming off surgery. No Jake.
Do we really think this team is going deep in the playoffs like that?

I second this...run with the houses money this year and see where it takes you while building for next year and beyond because what it boils down to is with Zucker the only real need they wouldn’t have filled long term is a 3LD which is something that can be filled by either Riikola or Almari. It’s basically getting to the point where we can see a clear path for this team to become a Patriots type of dynasty for the last few years of Sid and Geno.

- I am not worried about Sid at all - When i was power lifting & body building I trained with this dude that had the same surgery Sid had and when he came back training in like 5 weeks and he said he felt even stronger in his core 8 weeks after surgery. If Sid played with it torn for the 1st part of season, he is going to feel 200times better.

- Now the jake injury im worried about, the Pic he had on Twatter, was a harness for a Rotator Tear... I kno bc ive had 4 shoulder surgeries & 2 rotators (1-each shoulder) but it could have also been a labrum tear too tho... If its rotator he is not coming back, If Labrum tear, id say 4months tho.
- But no matter what we need to make a BIG move to replace Jake... This team just has "it" this year... IDK what it is but something special is happening with this team to keep winning with all the players missing & IMO GMJR is going to kno that and go BIG.

- I totally agree with u about Zucker tho, I love him as a player... but no way does he come back the same this yr, it just doesnt happen

There is no one out there to "replace" jake. Not even close. Not one guy on the market is a consistent 40 goal scorer like Jake has become. It's a bunch of 20 goal guys. Most of which are worried about their next contract and not getting hurt.
It's not about situation either. You don't just get 40 goals being on Crosby or Malkins wing. We all know that by now other wise Chucky would have 20 now.
The pool isn't that good to find a replacement in my opinion. That's why it's about getting a guy on term if they do make a move. A piece going forward to help with the holes they do have.
