The disrespect to Hornqvist is egregious. Ask you did nothing with Murray RFA status.

I didn’t do anything with it because I’m not sure what’s gonna happen...I honestly don’t think there’s gonna be enough cap space to sign him if they acquire another top 6 forward. Plus with Jarry playing as well as he’s been do you really pay Murray over $6M?

I think both goalies get 1-2 year show me deals.
It's the best way to go.
1 season is a fluke. You don't pay someone big on it.
Nor does a player sell themselves short on it.
After that, you are looking at expansion draft, which is probably where one gets sent to take a cap dump. Having flexibility there really helps.

Regardless you would either sign or trade his rights. He still has great value and there are plenty of teams in that last phase of the rebuild who would love a 26 year old 2x SC winner.
