IMO your extremely overvaluing Cec's valuei and what he can do for the Oilers. Much better off to go for Barrie for stay as is for the time being.

Completely disagree. Ceci is a very good player. I can see Ottawa turning this down even....especially for their cap structure.

That's okay but I doubt Ottawa would do that, they really value both ceci and Smith, and you valued them lowely. Smith was 2nd on the team in goals, on a team with five 20 goal scorers. Maybe Hopkins and yakupov, along with a 3rd rounder

Big time overpay for the Ottawa trade, holy. Ceci is not worth Nuge, not even close. Nuge is 23 and has already had 2 50+ point seasons, and he's been getting the majority of the tough matchup's from Todd. Oilers don't touch that.

2nd trade won't happen because that makes Chia look like an idiot. giving Reinhart back to the team that you overpayed to, adding a recent 1st overall pick, and even some more picks for another young non-established dman.
