Description

Ladd's buyout would be for $4,833,333 for 3 years then 3 more years at $333,333.

Devils aren't likely to be too competitive in the next 2-3 years, so they should have excess cap space for the next 3 years. Get a winger for Hughes, plus Hughes and Wahlstrom both played on team USA in the World Juniors.

Islanders get out of Ladd's contract, and a RH shot that is under contract for next year. Plus another Russian for Varlamov and Sorokin.

I wouldn’t do it. Wahlstrom is the perfect winger for barzal. There is a very small chance that Ladd makes it through this season without suffering a major injury and He already has chronic back problems + both of his knees are f*cked. It seems like Lou is burying him in BPT no matter how well he plays so I can see him going to “robidas island” sooner than later.

I would take that deal, but not till the offseason. Let Komarov have another chance at the playoffs before making him join a rebuilding Devils team.

I like Gusev, but if they trade him now it will be for max value since he'll have another year under contract. Not sure if he will want to resign next year if the Devils don't improve next year and with how bad they have been this year.

Bellows has 14 goals 4 assists in his last 19 games. He’s only 21 so not sure why you’re labeling him as not being good.

Where did gusev come into this. Bellows + a 2nd for komarov (3 mill x 2) is pretty fair value.

Bellows has 14 goals 4 assists in his last 19 games. He’s only 21 so not sure why you’re labeling him as not being good.
