Very true, hes not great in his own zone, but can really run a second pp unit. Sharks have too many D to ever give him a legit shot, but id love to see him thrive and get something out of it.

I just did it that way because anaheim is apparently willing to take on rental contracts for a fee. I figured the lesser of a return the better off the pens will be.

I think TOR is hoping their defense is ok. Just my opinion.
They like Holl, they ware going to work through Barrie. Ceci is over paid 3RD but he's playing fairly well.
I don't see why they go searching for a RD.

I like the deals as a Pens fan. I'd be surprised if Toronto would let Kapanen go for a rental in Schultz. That said, I'd love to see the pens get something for him.
I'd like to think we could get more for Galchenyuk, but the more the season goes along, I'm not seeing it. One gain we could maybe get form Anaheim would be del Zotto. I think he'd be an upgrade as 6-7 LD over what we have now.
My one remaining concern in doing these deals is that adding Kap and Zucker adds 8.7 mil to the cap for next year and we have to extend McCann, Petersson, Kahun, Murray, and Jarry. Probably not enough cap room left for that.

You bring up great points and with Zucker/Kap it’ll probably be one of the other. I’m also concerned with what happens with the cap with adding Zucker alone.
