Crow Gus Nylander-TDL Moves

Created by: WhatNowDiscussion
Team: 2019-20 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 13, 2020
Published: Jan. 13, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Not sure why everyone is trading away Saad as he was one of the Hawks best players before he got injured.

Gus needs to be moved: He is a defensive liability and his offensive isn't good enough to overshadow that.

I love Lankinen. He's a very underrated goalie acquisition. Voted to the AHL all-star game, he's having a great season and deserves a look at the NHL level. In addition to that, Matt Tompkins is also having a great season with Rockford and would love to see him get some more playing time.

Ehlers is very similar to Saad with more offensive upside. He would be a great addition to the Hawks top 6.

Don't think Hawks want to move D prospects. Plus Hawks have a lot of depth in the center position and Strome is have quite a year in New York. For a player that has been inconsistent, moving Strome could prove to hurt Strome's point production. Plus he's a core piece for the Rangers at the moment.

We. Don't. Need. Ceci. Why is everyone trading for him?

It's just for cap issues. Toronto would be over the cap allowance otherwise

Ah, ok at least that makes sense. I've seen other people do it because they thought we needed him.

Although I would take the WPG trade in a heartbeat I don't think there is enough value for them.

I understand the Ceci trade though I think our pick would be lower again in the pick swap for their cap dump.
