Description
No trades because realistically there wont be any, the leafs probably wont give up alot for a rental and if they get someone who has more than a year left on the contract they will have to protect them come the expansion draft. im not sure about mikheyev and how long he is out for if he isnt back for playoffs then move spezza up and kerfoot up and put in goat.

I wonder if the best roster is with Lilly up instead of Sandin. Sandin is terrific, but I am not sure moving Dermott to his offside is going to maximize the roster. I think Lilly could very well be a perfect player for the system we use. He's surprisingly physical, defensively sound and he's right handed. May as well keep everyone on their strong side. Also Soup I doubt will play again this year.

If this is what they do then it will be a early exit.
Pretty obvious they need help defensively, and Sandin or Lily are not going to help you get by the first round yet.
I think they have some pretty good Forward depth that they could part with for a Top 4 D man and have Marchment/Brooks fill a 4th line role just fine.

In my opinion, I'd let Sandin and Liljegren stay with the Marlies this year. Let them keep rolling together and then bring them up next year for the 1st of 3 entry level years. Not much sense in burning that 1st year at this point for Sandin. He won't get any PP or PK time on the current team so it doesn't make much sense.
